Today started with clear blue skies, high humidity and 80 degrees of sun. It was the perfect day to relax by the pool, sip on some fruity drinks and read a good book. The books we had, the bathing suits?, not a problem. The pool and the fruity drinks posed a bit more of a challenge, as we are holding to a strict budget (no earings for Rache as of yet) and are staying in a hotel full on character but short on the amenities. We went to our favorite cafe, I don´t think it has a name, to think over our strategy. As only divine providence on a Sunday can provide, God told us to find bicycles and bike through the mountains to this beautiful villa we´d heard about...hence our hotel owner lent us her two dilapitated bikes and off we rode through the hills..(one so big i thought i might loose a calf muscle) and ended up at this heavenly locale with pool, fresh food and the most relaxed environment right by the river...our day productively consisted of reading excellent books, sipping lemon waters, and tanning ourselves in the scorching sun...of course perfect isn´t our style..so when we tried to leave for our 10 km trek back through the hills in the terrential downpour we discovered that my tire was ripped and totally flat!! whoops! no worries...like all savvy tourists we hitched a cab! i think one of the things that we are appreciating the most is the simplicity of life here and the calm way of life...everything you do is outside, restaurants are outside, rooms are open to the outdoors...everything is outside and free!! it took about two seconds to get used to it...anyway, we love hearing from all of you and hope you are finding ways to live la vida pura!....
The photos are from our adventure ride to the caro resort (called Casa Turrire) and a few from our walk around their grounds. We are hoping that these pictures will entice two of our favoite people to come and join us for the rest of our adventure...we´ll buy the first round of bavarias...
