Yes. We officially rafted all day, 18 miles, through the jungle on class four rapids that dropped us off near the Caribbean ocean... And let me tell you, it was no small feat! This really takes adrenaline to a whole new level..not to mention total leg exhaustion as you wedge your feet into the boat to stay on when...well, things dont go how you hoped they would! The trip down the Paquere Rio is sensational...rare birds, iguanas, wild horses, butterflies...and oodles of waterfalls that spring out of nowhere...we met really fun people and managed to keep our raft upright the whole day..you literally get absolutely THRASHED by the rapids and it was SO MUCH FUN!! .the beers tasted good when it was all over, as we swung in our little hammock! tonight there is an important soccer game between the two costa rican national teams, and we have to go pick a team to cheer for. for now, there arent any action shots from the river because the photos, although pretty awesome, were super expensive, but we had a waterproof disposable that well get the photos from and put up online. this picture is from our hostel where we spend the evenings shelaxing...buenas noches muchachas!!!
